Machine Operator is responsible for upholsters cornice board with
fabric and cording \n What you'll do \n \n Adhering to all safety
rules, regulations, and policies. \n Reporting unsafe practices,
conditions, and near misses to supervisors. \n Wearing and
maintaining proper personal protective equipment (PPE), such as
safety glasses and gloves. \n Keeping work areas clean, organized,
and free of hazards. \n Following emergency evacuation procedures
and reporting unsafe conditions. \n Cutting and upholstering over
treatments for various styles (e.g., Statler, Astor, Waldorf,
Sheraton, Box). \n Padding, covering, gluing, tacking, lining, and
trimming boards. \n Properly placing and dressing swags, covering
legs, and blind tacking returns. \n Packaging and recording
completed treatments. \n Receiving and processing work tickets with
coordinating fabric bolts. \n Cutting fabric and cord material to
specified dimensions and patterns. \n Sewing welting and labeling
all cut pieces for further fabrication. \n Cutting and preparing
fabric and lining for swags and panels. \n Sewing, turning,
pressing, pleating, and banding swags. \n Recording information in
logs and preparing materials for fabricators. \n Maintaining
regular attendance and working in a production environment. \n
Remaining stationary or standing for extended periods (up to seven
hours or more per shift). \n Operating hand tools, pneumatic
staples, and performing repetitive motions. \n Lifting or carrying
materials as needed. \n Wearing closed-toe and closed-heel shoes
(tennis shoes preferred). \n Using safety glasses that meet ANSI
Z87.1 standards. \n Performing other tasks as assigned to support
production and safety goals. \n \n Who you are \n \n High school
graduate \n Able to use and read a tape measure \n General
knowledge of fabrics \n Ability to use hand tools \n Successfully
pass color blind test \n Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling
\n Capable of standing for extended periods of time \n Capable of
lifting on a continuous basis \n Strong attention to detail \n
