Collections Representative

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of the Collections Representative is locating and notifying customers of delinquent accounts by mail or phone to solicit payment. The Collections Representative is responsible for receiving payment, preparing statements to credit department if customer doesn't respond, and monitoring past due accounts.



The successful candidate must have a professional demeanor, ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and must be self-motivated.



Requirements:

2+ years of administrative experience within the collections/consumer finance industry or success within a customer retention, telemarketing, rent-to-own or similar position

A professional demeanor,

Basic MS Office knowledge (Word/Excel/ Outlook); computer software and internet proficiency

Ability to identify problems and offer solutions

Demonstrated multitasking skills

Outstanding leadership, organizational, prioritization and follow up skills

Excellent customer service

Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a "people person")
